About

Hi! I’m Janice — a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed clinical social worker. I work with females of all ages and have over 17 years of experience supporting children, adolescent girls, and women through all stages of life. This experience has shaped a practice that focuses on helping girls and women cultivate their unique strengths, build self-confidence, and create a balanced, fulfilling life. Wherever you are on your journey, I offer a therapeutic space to explore, grow, and master your mind. I have a special passion for supporting women navigating perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, motherhood, parenting, life transitions, or adjustment issues. I am specialized in ADHD and skilled in working with anxiety, depression, anger, emotional regulation challenges, grief and loss, and trauma. Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting those connected to the adoption triad (birth mothers, adoptive mothers, and adoptive children), as well as individuals involved in the foster care system. My core framework is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with an underlying influence of Contemplative Psychotherapy, emphasizing mindfulness and awareness. I also integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) creating a fusion that allows therapy to be both flexible and deeply personalized to your needs. As a mother, daughter, and wife, I understand firsthand the importance of creating balance and harmony while nurturing independence and self-awareness. I live by this philosophy through my own mindfulness practices and hobbies — including working out, meditation, cooking/baking, playing piano, and video games. I look forward to walking alongside you on your path of self-discovery toward empowerment, self-actualization, and fulfillment. Therapeutic Paradigms: ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Contemplative Psychotherapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy), MPAP program (Making Parenting a Pleasure).
